Mother Doll
There was a girl born in the cotton field
She grows up in a world that she knew wasn’t her own
As she knew she came from a place where she was a Goddess
She didn’t understand why she can feel children around, but there was no one there. At night she can she little people walking in her room.
And she was only 3 of age
As she grew up bad things happen to her
Things she wasn’t talking about
She didn’t even yell or try to fight
Her mother wouldn’t believe her anyway
Her father was in a different world because of drug land
But one at age 14
As the bad man came for her
She looks at his hand and wanted the pencil to go in it
And the pencil moved
Right into his hand it when
He runs downstairs to his car
As she looks out the window smiling
But she didn’t understand she really made it happen
As she just saw him trip
And as he tries not to fall
he tries to put his hand on the desk.
Time goes back
And she is with child
And that bad ghost came bad
As she can see
A different person
But same ghost
And she picks up the knife and said
Be gone
Everyone looks at her
As if she were going crazy
As they all yell out
Girl put that knife down
She looks the ghost in its eyes
I remember Who I am
And the man run down the road
Pass his car and he never look back
Everyone turns at the girl as they watch him run away
As the girl lay back down with a smile on her face
I will keep safe and the other two
And when I’m not around
I made you this doll
She will have your last name
So, she will always keep you safe
And your kids safe
With her hand placed on her belly
Talking to her unborn child
That she knew was a girl
5 years when by
They baby girl was at her Grandmother house
Playing with toys
And that bad ghost came in a different person
The grandmother wasn’t nowhere to be found
As the name walk up behind the baby girl
The doll that her mother made
got up
and walk
and took a seat beside the baby girl
who was playing with her blocks
and man couldn’t believe his eyes
he told himself he was high
and look around
to see was the grandmother was coming back
when he turns back at the child
the doll was standing
With the purple elephant beside her
The doll when inside her bag
And place the herbs and salt on the floor
And said
With the power of the Goddess
I protect my child
from your harm
now flee
As she places her Talisman in the air
The slow walk backward
Walking right into the grandmother
Why are you in my house the Grandmother said
I was looking for, but you know I need to go he replied
The Grandmother look her Grandchild
Who was playing happily with her blocks
And her doll sitting beside her
The Grandmother knew she place the fireplace
And she looks back at the man
And said I’m not going to call the police
