Black Moon Dark Moon August 21, 2017 Spells & Rituals Solar Eclipse
On August 21, 2017, there will be a Black Moon Dark Moon, which will coincide with a total solar eclipse, also known as The Great American Eclipse, because of the viewing area.
There are several definitions of a Black Moon – the second Dark Moon in a calendar month (like a Blue Moon is the second Full Moon in a calendar month), the 3rd New Moon or Dark Moon in a season of 4 Dark Moons, as each season normally has only 3 Full Moons and 3 Dark Moons. Black Moons also happen, albeit very infrequently, when the month of February has neither a Full Moon or Dark Moon and so both January and March will have two of each.
For this powerful and potent Black Moon Dark Moon on August 21st, I have chosen a spell to remove negative energy from your life. certain stage of her life, teaching you lessons you can apply in your life.

with it an energy which you can use in your spells and rituals.

New Moon
The New Moon means the Mother Goddess is in
her infant stage, which is why it marks the time for new beginnings, fresh
starts, growth, optimism, starting over, hope and faith.
Do your magick in the first two or three days
the new crescent is visible. This is a good time for magick concerning stuff
like a new diet, a new lifestyle, shifting to a new course of study, starting
at a new job, starting over in a new place, or the start of a new relationship.
Waxing Moon
The Waxing Moon means the Mother Goddess is in
her maiden stage, making it the perfect time for building credit,
accomplishments, creativity, strength, growth and learning, and positive
transformation.
As the Moon gets brighter, the energies of
growth get stronger. The maiden is full of energy and is anxious to dance
around the world!
The day or two just before the calendar day of
the Full Moon are the best times for doing magick for bringing something to you
like a new look, a new job, a new relationship, a new accomplishment, a new
talent or skill, or advanced knowledge.
Full Moon
The Full Moon is the time of abundance,
harvest, manifesting desires, sexuality, achievement, and protection. The
Goddess is in her Mother stage and she is at her peak, and the moon’s energy is
also at its peak.
This is the best time for consecrating tools,
charging jewelry, and wishes like winning a court case, winning a contest,
landing a job, getting married, good health, financial prosperity, and healing.
It is also the time for spells about spirituality, psychic development, dreams
and divination.
Waning Moon
The Waning Moon means the Mother Goddess is in
her Crone stage, making it the perfect time for letting go, clearing away, cleansing,
releasing, shedding old patterns, and undoing bindings. This is a time of
personal reflection.
The days just before the Dark of the Moon are
best for doing magick for removal of anything that you don’t want from your
life like bad habits, stress, negative energies, unsatisfying relationships,
unfulfilling jobs, an unhealthy diet, or an anxious and negative mind.
The moon’s energy is getting weaker, as is the
strength of the Goddess. But what comes with it is great wisdom. And you can
learn from her and gain wisdom at this time.
Dark Moon
The Dark Moon is the time when the moon
appears completely covered in darkness. This is the time of rest, relaxation,
peace, deep wisdom, powerful banishing, divination.
This is a time to banish negative energies
from our lives that we are serious about getting rid of. Any kind of magick you
do at this time, you should know, will be VERY strong. Use it for banishing
serious things like illnesses of the body and mind.
This time, we accept that
we do not know all the answers and that everything that we need to learn will

Ashley Mortimer talks to The Independent about the reactions he has received to telling people he is a witch
Of all the things to reveal to your church-going family members,
announcing you are a witch might
be one of the most difficult.
Ashley Mortimer, 48, is a witch from the contemporary Pagan
path Wicca.
Wiccans trace the movement back to the British man Gerald Gardner in the 1950s.
Wiccans practise witchcraft and
honour the Divine.
Mortimer’s parents belong to the Church of
England so he anticipated the reveal of his spirituality might
not go down so well.
“I knew it wouldn't be popular (teenagers have a feel for such
things with parents I think,” he told The Independent. “And I
can remember being told: ‘We don't want pagan rites in THIS house!’”
Mortimer
says his family were eventually pleased he had “found a spiritual path and
celebrate that we share the notions of faith and morality, albeit in rather
different ways” and realised they were serious.
“I
think my mother gained some perspective when my sister declared herself an
atheist! She told me ‘At least you have a faith, even if it's a bit misguided!’
.She is very pragmatic about faith, she sees it very much as manifesting in
one's daily life and this notion of it as personal, individual and very much a
daily matter is the same style of religiosity with which I approach mine - so
we have commonality in approach at least.”
Mortimer
says his friends have mainly been curious about his beliefs as it is a bit
mysterious, he has not regularly experienced prejudice from other people but
regularly had to stand up for fellow Wiccans.
“I had
an employer who was a churchgoer who I suspected began to treat me differently
and worse after discovering my interest in Paganism but I had no real proof and
I left shortly thereafter,” he says.
Misconceptions
about witchcraft have, of course, a delicate and traumatic history. The witch
trials and executions across Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries are
estimated to have accounted for around 60,000 deaths.
“If
these misconceptions hadn't caused so much suffering in past centuries or so
much suspicion in more recent times then most of them would be simply
laughable,” Mortimer says.
Mark
Black, 36, the president of the UK Pagan Council, says misconceptions most
commonly come in the form of the “do you worship the devil rubbish” along with
“have you got a broom?” and “do you go to a forest and dance round naked”
question, to which he says “quite frankly, England is too cold”.
“You
get the usual misconceptions but over the last ten years or so, because
paganism has been a lot more widely publicised by the media in the right way,
those type of questions are a lot more infrequent than frequent,” he says.
Mortimer agrees
saying society’s renewed openness to a range of “religious and spiritual
freedoms” as well increased tolerance to the rights of an individual has
“helped to establish Witchcraft and other pagan religions as part of our
cultural landscape”.
So how
do modern day UK witches live their lives? Both men say pretty normally, just
like the average person, they hold down jobs and socialise, for example. The
only difference is their practise of witchcraft and magic.
Some
witches live in covens while others live alone. Many lean towards herbalism,
taro, charms, spells and crystals a lot of the time for spiritual growth for
the self and help other people. All the different practises are
apparently just different methods of weaving energy.
Most
wishes tend to specialise in one area Mr Black says and his expertise were
initially rooted in warrior witchcraft: “Initially, I thought I needed to be
masculine”, he says but as he developed he turned his focus toward potions and
realigning energy.
Mortimer
says if magic equates to the ability to cause changes in consciousness in
conformity with will “then yes, we do cast spells”.
However,
Mr Black is reluctant to tell me about the spells he has cast and the examples
of his magic for fear of “cheapening” the witchcraft practise.
“People ask me all the time about if you do something in the craft and
it happens, ‘Is that magic or is it happening?’ to which my reply is ‘Does it
matter?’” he says. “If someone comes to me with a fear of flying and then has
the best flight experience, does it matter if it’s psychosomatic or if it’s
what I believe, energy coming into play? The end result is that the person got

Five ( Power of Nine)
She
walks off the ship with her big hat on & her nose in the air, as she was
better than everyone. She hated the fact she had to walk on dirty in her new shoes,
as she tried to keep her big dress from getting dirty. With her slave girl walking
behind her, this better work or I’m going to have your head this, right then
she when down face 1st. Awww she yells then cried. Because she was
now dirty and she only been on land for 5 minutes. Her slave girl wanted to laugh,
but she holds it in. As they made their way to small town being build and she
got herself a room, that she wasn’t happy with at all. Cotton she yell to her slave
girl, yes Ma, she answers. If you lie to me, I will have you & your brother
head on a plate for the dogs to eat. No ma I ain’t telling you a lie. She can
give you what you ask, but remember it will not be free. I’ll have her head if she
tells me no. Cotton get over her and put my things up make sure they do get
dirty in this what they call a room. When are we going to see this doctor of yours?
We can go tomorrow if you like ma. Why not now, I want to get this done &I
get back to civilization. Ma I don’t take a good idea I need to go ask for her,
no we go right now, you will not try to run away. Get my things & let’s go.
Ma, ma I beg you, please let me go talk to her 1st, but the hateful
woman wouldn’t listen to Cotton. They were off onto a wagon, with 5 arm men
with their gun in their hand, just itching to kill some black monkeys. It took
them 5 hours to make it to a little valley, to only have the people point at
the mountain. They could only take the wagon so far. Than they had to go by foot,
that took an hour of everyone listening to her yell and kick Cotton the way up.
Why she can’t come to me, she yells, look at my dress. She yells at Cotton. They
see a light coming from the hole of the mountain. As the came up to the light,
hello is anyone where, the lady yells. Hello!
Her foot kick Cotton then her hand was going for her face, but she
couldn’t move it. She tried with everything in her to hit Cotton, but couldn’t.
What is this kill her she told her men, but they could only put the gun on her
& not Cotton, you black witch! I’m going to kill you, “she yells at Cotton”,
but she couldn’t move from the spot she was in. I told you, let me come 1st.
you don’t listen.
Be
quit child a voice came from the darkness, a black woman with her face cove in
something white came into the light so all can see. You speak English , the
lady ask, the black woman answer, I speak to all demons, I understand if I
don’t help you will have my head, the lady look at Cotton as if she told, Why
should I help you have a baby, so you demons can kill more of my people, Quit,
I don’t care to hear your answer, because I will not help, you came here and
woke up the dead, now I have to listen to them & get them to go back. I
want to see the doctor, where is your master. You can’t talk to me like this.
The Voodoo Queen laugh,

lady did as she was told, and the Voodoo Queen laugh as the lady hit herself. I can kill her now for you, she asks Cotton,

white demon, the lady looks at Cotton give her the look like when they get back
home she will kill her, right then she punches herself in the face and knock
herself to the ground. Leave here & don’t come back, or I’ll feed you to my
lions, Please, I beg of you, why are you begging for her, she’s the one who
should be beg, she ask Cotton, before she answer, I see she have your brother,
she took some dirty from the ground then blow it the air at the woman &
men, if her brother die so will your love ones to, but two a month till all are
no more. Child, you need to come back home and tell them white demon to go back
to hell. Now leave me, one of white pointed the gun at the Voodoo Queen head,
she just stops and laugh and said you fool, as he pulls the trigger only to
kill himself, take your mess with you, clean it good. Can’t have his demon soul
here getting on my nerds. Right then the lady drops to her knees, Please, I beg
of you. She wept. The Voodoo Queen kept walking into the darkness, Please,
Please I’ll do anything you ask of me. Please you are my only hope, please help
me. Anything the Voodoo Queen voice came from the darkness. Yes anything, we
will see, Come back this time tomorrow, If your heart is clean, I’ll give you
your child, but remember you say anything. And the light when out and they all
ran away scary.as the Voodoo Queen laugh in the darkness.
The
morning came the other white was gone, it was only The Lady & Cotton going
back to see the Voodoo Queen alone, The Lady knew she had to go back, she
needed to get pregnant if she wanted to get marry to her love Alexander Hamilton
and have him love her the way she loves him. She looked at herself in the mirror,
everyman wants me and love me. I am Elizabeth Schuylon. Everyone back home was
to believe she was in Paris and not in Africa trying to get pregnant, everyone must
believe she is the perfect woman. The time came and they had to go back to the
Voodoo Queen and they had to get there on time. She couldn’t be late. She drove
the wagon herself, it took her minute to get the hang of it. Cotton fear their life
was in danger. However, they made it
there alive, now all they had to do was go up the mountain. As walk in the
opening of the mountain, take off all your clothing, your 1st child
will be born tonight, the Voodoo Queen told her as she walks up to them. She
took some hair from head & put a small cut between her legs, letting the
blood ran into a head of a skull. Lay over there, she points at a makeshift of
a bed that look more like a bird nest, but she as the Voodoo Queen ask, as the
Voodoo Queen added her blood into the skull, come here child she look at
Cotton, spit all your hate for her here now, Cotton like as if she didn’t want
too. Now child, she yells at Cotton. In fear she spits, which is what the
Voodoo Queen wanted in the 1st place. Then she added herds and more
things to the skull, everything in the skull was boiling inside the skull, she took
a bird egg added to the mix and told Elizabeth to drink it, it all my child,
then told some birds in the nest with her. All kinds of birds, birds Elizabeth
never seen before, just sitting quietly with her. She was scary, but did
everything she was told. Hours when by and moonlight was brighter than any of
full moon, the new moon and the new you come together as one. As the moonlight
shine on her, Pain came to her, she yells, Cotton! Cotton! It hurt! The Voodoo Queen when between Elizabeth legs,
push child, Push with everything in you. Do it now. Elizabeth with all she had,
with Cotton holding her hand & sitting behind her, holding her up to push. After
some pushing and egg the size of a watermelon came from between her legs.
Cotton & Elizabeth screen in fear. The Voodoo Queen put her hand up &
they stop, but their eyes screen for them. You can go have the babies you want
now, but no more slaving my people, every man that see will want you, &
Cotton and her brother must be free you and your kind. Or all your other babies,
but this one (she pointed at the egg) will die. Do you understand, but I need
Cotton, she replies, you said anything. You can get dress and go now. But what’s
in the egg, Elizabeth wanted to know. Its best you don’t know child, now go,
the birds sit around the egg, Elizabeth just had to know, with her clothing
falling off she took the heel of her boot and hit the egg, Cotton look on, with
the look she never listens and she closed her eyes, say she heard a sound of a
baby, It’s a girl! Elizabeth cried. Cotton open her eyes as Elizabeth pick the
baby up. She’s beaut…, before Elizabeth could finish, Not yours, The Voodoo
Queen answer. Now put her down and go life your life, remember if you don’t keep
deal you will have babies but they will die. Cotton took the baby from Elizabet
hands, as she did they saw that the baby had two humps at her shoulder blades. What
wrong with her, she cried, Ma we must go, stop asking answers, we must go. Back
to New York they when, never to speak of what happen or where they when.
Everyone start
Elizabeth was different & she live her life with men fighting over her, and
the sweet smell of her told them no more slaves, she was a woman of words, and
her look because every woman wanted to be her. She didn’t send Cotton &
brother free till her son die, she knew the Voodoo Queen would kill all her
babies to come. Leave now, please go, here is some money, I thank you for
everything Cotton, but you know, you must go. Deep down inside Cotton didn’t
want to leave her, but she knew she had too. Free was coming to all & she
needed to learn how to be free.
Bird, come here now The
Voodoo Queen yells, I was just thinking about flying mother. Look at the sky,
with her out on each side as she turns, with her hair blood red and sky-blue
eyes, her skin white as the cloud like at every day, dream to be flying in them
one day. Come now you must eat, I told you will fly and you will be powerful like
your sister & brother and other truth Mother will come and need you. Let eat
now, The Voodoo Queen told Bird as they when back into the hole in the mountain
known as Cango caves.
