DOING STEP CLASS

For someone, I call Mother

who is no longer here in body

I use to teach aerobics ( Step Class)

but before I every jumps on a step 

I use to only run and lift weights

Till one day someone came and said 

Come and jump on the step

& then we can work out together

Deep down I wanted to do it anyway

But I didn't want to look bad doing it

But she asks

And she came with a deal

Because I did need someone to spot me

And she was doing everything

Plus she was teaching Wellness class

So after a week of doing it, I had it

Plus, parts of my body I never knew was there

was kicking my ass

However, the time when by

And one day she said 

I think its time for you to teach the class

Because I move from being a student 

Who came to class

I move up to her right side

Helping her teach the class

But I never had to talk

I just help the ones to keep up or show them the same move

But it was easier to do

But it came a time 

Where she just wanted more time for herself 

To run

Because she wanted to run I believe it was the 30-mile race

So I told her 

I would do it after I learn all the moves

Because she just made up a new 

Routine

And only myself and her was doing it

And she wanted me to teach it

So like always I would get to the right of her

And she would get in the middle

So I was thinking

We will be doing the same thing as always

But hell no

The same day she asks me 

Was the same day she put me in the spotlight

As she told everyone in the class I was teaching 

My eyes got so big

I was going off in my head

Calling her every name in the book in my mind

She walks to where I was standing and told me

If I don't do it today 

I would never do it

Besides, she had to practice for her race

So I hit the play button on the cassette player

And step in the middle and she looks at me 

Standing to my right side

I did the class and she said,

Now on these days 

You will be teaching

And she will teach on the other days

Because for 7 days in a week

She was the only teacher

She never had any time for her self

I thank her for putting me in the spotlight

When we were working out

But this time we put aside to workout

Is just for working out

And the only talking is counting the sets and the reps

She was the only person
