How To Keep Your Tarot Cards Safe
WHEN DOES A TAROT DECK NEED TO BE CLEANSED?
Generally, you’ll know when you need to cleanse your Tarot cards – there’ll be that niggling feeling that something isn’t quite right with your cards and that something needs to change. Here are some examples of different situations when you will most likely feel compelled to cleanse your Tarot cards:
- Other people have touched your cards
- You’ve bought a new or second hand Tarot deck
- You’ve done a particularly draining Tarot reading
- Your Tarot cards have been sitting dormant or unused for
- quite some time
- You or your Tarot cards have been exposed to a lot of negative
- energy (for example, a particularly negative client, or a challenging situation in your own personal life)
- Your Tarot readings are beginning to feel unclear, disconnected
- or ‘stuck’
- Your cards have fallen all over the floor or had some other sort
- of accident
- You simply want to reconnect with your cards
Meditation. Hold your cards in both hands, close your eyes and relax. Allow your mind to be free of any thought and just ‘be’ with your cards. You may then like to visualise the Universal energy being drawn through you and to your cards, surrounding your cards in a protective white light. Those with an understanding of Reiki may like to use this mode of energy healing to cleanse their cards by channelling their healing Reiki energy through the cards. This is personally my favourite as it is easy to do in between readings and it helps me focus and concentrate on my next client.
Salt Burial. Salt can be used to draw out negative energy from your cards, just like you would use salt to draw out the moisture from a food item in cooking. First, wrap your Tarot in a plastic bag as tightly as you can. Then take an airtight container that is larger than your Tarot deck, place your wrapped cards inside and then completely surround your cards with salt on all sides, above and below. It is imperative that this is an airtight container as salt not only gathers the energies from a Tarot deck well, it also gathers any moisture that might be in the air, potentially damaging your cards. Keep your cards buried in the salt for at least a few days or a week before taking them out and disposing of the salt.
Elemental Clearing. Elemental clearing brings your awareness to using different techniques that are aligned with each of the four elements used in Tarot. For example, for Earth clearing, use the Salt burial; for Water clearing, use the Moon Bath or sprinkle a little water on your cards; for Fire clearing, pass your cards over a candle; for Air clearing, use a smudge stick. You may like to go through each of the four elements for a more comprehensive cleansing.
Fresh Air. Just after a rain shower or even in the warmth of the sun, place your cards outside to take in the fresh air and draw in the cleansing rays. Of course, keep in mind the (imp)practicalities and be careful not to place them in a windy position or somewhere where you may end up doing more damage!
Moon Bath. The full moon is an excellent source of energy for your cards. On a full moon, you can simply place your cards in a window or even outside to bathe in the moonlight. Alternatively, many people use this time to conduct a special ritual or to cite different incantations for cleansing their Tarot cards.
KEEPING YOUR CARDS CLEAN
Now that you’ve cleansed your Tarot cards, how do you make sure they stay ‘clean’? Here are a couple of ideas:
- Keep your Tarot cards wrapped in a special cloth or stored in a special Tarot box.
- Store your cards with a quartz crystal which is a wonderful
- absorber of energies. If you want to keep your crystal ‘clean’
- too, then use any of the cleansing techniques above.
- Place your Tarot cards at a specially made altar in between
- readings.
Write a prayer for your deck, and recite it four times, once in each of the four corners. Do this while holding your deck. As you shuffle the deck, call upon your spirit guides/spirit/ancestors/whatever is in your practice. Ask them to guide and assist you during readings, and ask them to bless the deck with you
Protect Yourself from Evil Spirits
When you know you have people you can't trust & you know they are trying to find their way into your house, and you see there is nothing, but bad stuff going around them do not let them in your front door.
they can go round back and you can talk, but then they must go.
If you let them in, You will let your self fall down & everything you work hard for will be lost. Learn to say no. If they keep trying to find ways to be a part of your life, tell them -
I would love to help you, but I must keep my house clean of all spirits. You have too many spirits around you. You need to find your own way to clean them up. I can only help you with words of what to do. My hands are clean & I will be kept clean.
They will look at you like you are crazy or talk about you and call you crazy. That's OK, get your oil and rub in your hands & across your body.
stop believing in everything that comes out their mouth & they just using it get you on their side & use you. That will take you down and all will be lost.
Get yourself a Blackstone & every bad thing you are feeling you put it in the stone, then you go to a nearby lake or sea and with everything in you. You throw it as far away from you as you can. You don't look back and you don't feel sorry. You smile and just be thankful, as each day you will get powerful. keep people out of your life who are happy with problem, drama, hate, or always saying someone is doing this and that to them. You do not need their hex, put on you. Hex people will always take you down with them. They need to get their life together and really want help to stop the hex or spell that was put on them.

You can't let everyone in your mind & home or help everyone because they could have a hex or a spell put on them. And they could be happy with their life and don't see anything wrong with the way they are living. But you see it and you may want to help, but help yourself by saying No. It's the best answers for them and it will help them and you can tell them to go see someone to get the hex to remove, but the key for it to be removed & stay off they have to understand why the hex or spell was placed on them the 1st place.
It's like an std
You go see the doctor he or she fix you up.
But if go back between the legs or open your legs you end up with the same std or one he or she can't fix.
It's the same when you go get the hex off or spell off.
So if they don't care for their life, what makes you think they care for yours
1982
Each year is related to a Chinese zodiac animal according to the 12-year cycle. Years of the Dog include 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, and 2030... The Dog occupies the eleventh position in the Chinese zodiac, after the Rooster, and before the Pig.
If you're born in a Dog year, you're a Dog, and the following are deemed lucky for you:
- Lucky numbers: 3, 4, 9
- Lucky colors: red, green, and purple
- Lucky flowers: rose, cymbidium orchids
- Lucky directions: east, south, and northeast
- Lucky months: the 6th, 10th, and 12th Chinese lunar months
In Chinese element theory, each zodiac sign is associated with one of the five elements: Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. For example, a Wood Dog comes once in a 60-year cycle.
It is theorized that a person's characteristics are decided by their birth year's zodiac animal sign and element. So there are five types of Dogs, each with different characteristics:
Type of Dog | Year of Birth | Characteristics |
---|---|---|
Wood Dog | 1934, 1994 | Sincere, reliable, considerate, understanding, and patient |
Fire Dog | 1946, 2006 | Intelligent, hardworking, and sincere |
Earth Dog | 1958, 2018 | Communicative, serious, and responsible in work |
Gold Dog | 1910, 1970 | Conservative, desirable, cautious, and always ready to help others |
Water Dog | 1922, 1982 | Brave and self-centered, even seemingly selfish; well-versed in dealing with financial issues |

Unlucky Things for Dogs
- Unlucky colors: blue, white, gold
- Unlucky numbers: 1, 6, and 7
- Unlucky direction: southeast
- Unlucky months: the 5th and 8th Chinese lunar months
The Dog's Personality: Loyal, Honest...
Dogs are loyal and honest, amiable and kind, cautious and prudent. Due to having a strong sense of loyalty and sincerity, Dogs will do everything for the person who they think is most important.
As Dogs are not good at communication, it is difficult for them to convey their thoughts to others. Therefore, Dogs tend to leave others with the impression that they have a stubborn personality.
Born with a good nature, Dogs do not tend to be criminals or seek dishonest gains. They just need a quiet life and a good family and, therefore, forget the ugliness and evil on Earth.
Dogs are always ready to help others and do not care about their own interests, but if they find themselves betrayed by cunning people they will feel shocked and hurt.
When thrown into doubt, Dogs think the world is evil and complicated. Then they criticize sharply when giving comments on something, and infer all things are according to their pessimistic point of view.
Good Health for Dogs
Overall, Dogs enjoy good health for they tend to be happy all the time. Dogs are active at sports so they are resilient to illnesses, such as colds, coughs, and fever.
In heavy work periods and frequent social activities, they should ensure they get plenty of rest in addition to taking proper exercise, which will benefit both their physical and mental health. Since Dogs are not keen about seeking money and power, they feel less stressed and tense at work and in their home life.
Dream of suicide
When "death" appears in a dream, it is a very reliable indicator that the dreamer is growing and changing so profoundly that only the "death" of the old "me", (or part if "me"), is an adequate symbol of the psycho-spiritual process that is taking place.
The image/experience of "death" in the dream world is the single most frequent and reliable metaphor of profound psycho-spiritual growth and change that the collective unconscious has to offer. Basically, the archetypal image functions like this: if "I" am truly to grow and evolve, then all my life energy must be fully withdrawn from who "I" used to be, so that my life energies are available to who "I" am becoming - and "death" is the most apt metaphor of "the withdrawal of life energy" there is.
This means that "murder" and "suicide" in the dream world take on a special quality of meaning. The metaphors of "murder" and "suicide" in dreams tend to come up to symbolically describe those challenges of growth and development that can only be adequately met by conscious choice. There are changes that will happen over the passage of time, whether "I" will them to or not - and then there are those changes that "I" am drawn to make in "my" life that will ONLY HAPPEN IF "I" MAKE A CLEAR CONSCIOUS EFFORT. It is precisely these kinds of changes that are most often symbolized by the metaphors of "murder" and "suicide" in dreams.
For example, the dream of "suicide" is one of the most positive dreams a person in recovery from addictive behavior can have, because it almost always indicates that this time, the conscious effort to overcome the addiction will be successful; the "addict" is choosing to "commit suicide" SYMBOLICALLY so that the person free from addiction may truly come into being.
When suicidal thoughts crowd into a person's mind awake, it means the same thing(!) It is an example of "dreaming awake". The unwanted suicidal thoughts are and example of the same archetypal metaphor as in dreams; the person is faced with the necessity of changing his/her life so radically that only the "death" of the "old me" is an adequate symbolic reflection of the order of change "I" must bring about in my life, BY CONSCIOUS CHOICE.
As the Jungian analyst, Robert Johnson has said to suicidal people on several occasions, "By all means, kill yourself...(!) but DO NOT HARM YOUR BODY!"
Alas, all too often, people take these persistent suicidal thoughts literally, when, in fact, they are simply "dreaming awake". The unwanted thoughts and distressed feelings of frustration and hopelessness are clear indicators that the person is standing on a threshold of personal transformation - emotional, psychological, spiritual transformation so profound, that the person "I" am now, (the one who feels the pain the sense of being haunted and trapped), will be GONE, as surely and completely as if "I" had "killed myself". But this is a change that will not happen "naturally" just by letting enough time go by. In order to accomplish this kind of personal transformation, the person must CHOOSE to let go of his/her old life and turn toward the frightening challenges of the new life which is crying out in them to be born.
People who have these "suicidal" thoughts and feelings are experiencing the inner prompting that it is now time to CHOOSE A NEW WAY OF BEING IN THE WORLD, (and if they couldn't actually accomplish this transformation, they wouldn’t even remember these "dreams" in the first place!) Mistaken literalism is the greatest tragedy when it comes to suicidal thoughts and feelings - by all means, "kill yourself", but do not harm your body!

Turmeric
Turmeric, or Curcuma longa, belongs to the ginger family and naturally occurs in Southern Asia and India. Turmeric supplements come from the plant's rhizomes, which feature rough, brown skin and a dark orange flesh. Known for its fragrant aroma and slightly bitter taste, turmeric is a common culinary spice in Indian cuisine. Turmeric also comes in liquid extract, capsule and powder forms. The traditional Oriental medicine systems have long used turmeric powder to treat a variety of medical conditions.
The University of Maryland Medical Center reports that turmeric contains curcumin, an agent that might stimulate the gallbladder to produce more bile. This may help you improve a variety of digestive problems, such as gas and bloating. According to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, taking doses of turmeric powder might also relieve symptoms of dyspepsia, particularly nausea, appetite loss, belching and stomach discomfort. The curcumin might also effectively treat various inflammatory bowel diseases, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The UMMC warns that curcumin sometimes increases stomach acid levels, which means you should not use turmeric supplements to treat stomach ulcers.
According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, early research indicates that turmeric can help lower blood cholesterol levels and keep low-density lipoprotein levels from building up in your arteries, a condition known as atherosclerosis. Keeping your LDL levels low can reduce your risk of stroke or heart attack. Turmeric also keeps platelets from clumping together, which means it might stop blood clots from forming on your artery walls.
Turmeric lowers blood sugar levels in diabetic animals, according to UMMC. However, turmeric supplements might also increase the effects of anti-diabetic drugs and increase your risk of low blood sugar, a condition called hypoglycemia. Early studies indicate that curcumin helps to block the formation of the plaque thought to cause Alzheimer's disease. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine relates that applying poultices of turmeric powder directly onto your skin might help to treat eczema and heal minor wounds. Turmeric's antioxidant properties might even help to stop the inflammation that causes arthritis.
5 to 8 times stronger than vitamin E and stronger than vitamin C, this antioxidant breakthrough may help boost your immunity, maintain normal cholesterol levels, and put the brakes on aging," says Dr. Joseph Mercola about curcumin in turmeric.
Apart from therapeutic uses, turmeric is also used as an important condiment, in beauty products and spiritual ceremonies.
- In India, turmeric is used in almost all curries and gravy dishes. It gives a rich color and a unique flavor to the food.
- Turmeric is a well-known preservative. Scientists from Gujarat found that adding turmeric to paneer (cottage cheese) extends the shelf life of paneer up to 12 days.
- Turmeric is a great pesticide. Sprinkle turmeric (powder) water near all the entry points of your house to ward of insects, ants, and termites.
- Turmeric has an important place in Indian weddings. Turmeric paste is applied to the bride and the groom as part of the haldiceremony just before the wedding to give them fresh glowing skins and to ward off the evil eye.
- Turmeric is considered as a symbol of purity, prosperity, and fertility.
- Turmeric water is poured / offered to the Gods in the temples as a part of Hindu ritual called Abhishekam.
- The color yellow is considered sacred and auspicious in India. Any fabric dyed in turmeric is considered pure.
- Women in India use turmeric in skin products such as creams and body scrubs to boost the glow factor.
- Drinking turmeric tea daily may increase your life span, suggests Dr Andrew Weil. Adding one teaspoon of turmeric powder to 4 cups of boiling water, simmering it for 10 minutes and adding honey to taste can do the trick.
- Adding turmeric to meat can reduce the levels of cancer causing heterocyclic amines (HCAs) by up to 40 percent, according to researchers from Kansas State University.
What are the Side Effects of Turmeric?
Turmeric is safe and has no side effects when used optimally. People with turmeric sensitivity can have mild stomach upset or diarrhea.- Use turmeric with caution if you are pregnant.
- Turmeric can make gall bladder problems and GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disorder) worse.
- Turmeric can slow blood clotting and might cause extra bleeding during and after surgery.
